To all our partners, visitors and fellow seafood lovers,

At Sanctuary Oysters, we are doing our best to adapt and keep our team and community safe and healthy during this trying time. As the situation around coronavirus (COVID-19) has been developing around the globe, we’ve been closely checking all information locally, nationally and globally. Serving and supporting our community has always been a large part of Sanctuary Oysters, which is why we believe it’s important to stay knowledgeable and get through this together. With that in mind, we’d like to share the following information and resources with you.

Stay Protected

Make sure you’re following these tips, provided by public health organizations, to stay healthy:

  • Avoid large groups: We love gathering with family and friends to enjoy oysters more than anything, but these are trying times. Let’s all do our part in practicing social distancing so we can move past this difficult time more quickly.

  • Wash your hands thoroughly and often: This is essential for staying healthy all year round! Be sure to wash your hands with warm water and soap for at least 20 seconds. If you need help timing it, pick your favorite tune to hum while you’re at the sink.

  • Keep your hands away from your face: Touching your face can result in accidentally spreading germs to your eyes, nose or mouth.

  • If you feel sick, stay home: Also, if you’re coughing or sneezing be sure to cover your mouth with your arm or the nook of your elbow.

Know the Symptoms

It’s important to know what to look for. Coronavirus patients have reported symptoms ranging from mild to severe respiratory illness. These symptoms may appear in as few as two days, or as long as 14 days, after exposure to the coronavirus:

  • Fever

  • Dry Cough

  • Fatigue

  • Shortness of Breath and/or Difficulty Breathing

For additional guidance, you can contact your medical provider.

Stay Updated

With the situation rapidly evolving, it’s important to stay updated on what’s happening in your area. Below are some great resources to stay informed:
